Like Plan 61, Plan 71 is a way of specifying that only connections are to be supplied. Whereas Plan 61 applies to wet seals, Plan 71 applies to dry seals. This is sometimes used if the end user has a special or future use for the connections.  Containment Seal Vent, Containment Seal Drain and Gas Barrier Inlet connections are to be supplied and plugged with plastic plugs for shipping.
